ICORE stands for International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiast. As stated in their website, ICORE is a “sport that combines elements of the Bianchi Cup, IPSC, and the Steel Challenge into demanding competition exclusively for revolvers.” So if you are one of those hard core persons that still have a wheel gun hidden in a closet, it is time for you to pull it out, clean it, oil it and bring it to the matches.

We are just starting to shoot ICORE, so we are not fully debugged but the spirit is there. Please check the schedule as the dates will change until we have a set procedure. Any questions, please contact us at evilwebmasterATtssaidpa.us
What will you need to shoot ICORE? As per the rules “must be revolvers with a .32 magnum caliber or greater and in sufficiently safe condition. All firearms are subject to inspection and approval by the Match Director or Range Officers.” The revolvers are classified as Open (if they are ported, have optics, or any other special sight system that extends beyond what the manufacturer built and other modifications to the barrel, and such. Check the rulebook for details. Ammunition must produce a minimum power factor of 120000. The power factor equals bullet weight in grains multiplied by velocity in feet per second. A holster that will securely hold your firearm. The holster must cover the trigger guard area. Holsters must be attached to your gun belt. The heel of the butt of the gun is not allowed below the bottom of the belt. (An exception shall be duty rigs and single action rigs.) Tie downs are allowed on single action rigs only. And yes, we actually have somebody that shoots single action. You will also need sufficient loaders and loader holders as necessary to complete the stage at hand. The holders must be attached to your gun belt. The belt must be sufficiently strong enough to hold your holster and loaders in a safe manner. The belt is to be worn about the waist. Women may wear theirs at hipbone level.

We shoot to have fun. We do not tolerate Range Nazis or overly serious win-at-all cost shooters. Ours is a small gathering of friends shooting revolvers, learning from each other and enjoying a sport. Even if you never shot a revolver before but have one, come along and we’ll lend you a hand. TSSA is a teaching club and we pride ourselves on creating shooters and not just once every six month plinkers.
We hope to see you at a match soon!
